No because we are just now getting the technology to do a marketable EV. Regardless of past mistakes (EV1) they should be supported for trying to bring a car to market that actually changes things significantly. Engineering proptypes enjoy a tax break. We are addicted to the gasoline tax both at the State and Federal level.
