Climate change is real, and we want to be part of the solution by putting everyone in an electric vehicle. Both the GMC HUMMER EV and Cadillac LYRIQ programs were accelerated, along with other vehicles to be revealed at a later date. The development schedules for 12 vehicle programs have been moved up, including: GMC HUMMER EV.

The main concern is purchase price or more likely, monthly payment. GM has plans—for an electric Hummer of all things. The cost of electricity, the cost of gasoline, how many miles, how much maintenance, etc. Unfortunately, most retail car buyers don't take anything like that approach. Can I get it for under 300 bucks a month?

Call it Peak ICE—the last hurrah of a technology that governments are ushering off the stage to combat climate change. A hybrid Chevrolet Corvette is expected to deliver about 662 kW (900 hp), even as its GM parent readies a 1,014-hp GMC Hummer EV. Lamborghini has been the stubborn holdout among speed merchants.

Ill never purchase one again, no matter what the mpgs. should be illegal for companies to purchase patents for the purpose of blocking technology.
