Clean Energy Fuels Corp. The City of Fresno signed a two-year agreement with Clean Energy for renewable liquified natural gas (RLNG) to power approximately 140 refuse trucks with its Redeem brand RNG for an anticipated annual total of 1.6 million LNG gallons, the equivalent of just over one million GGEs.

The California Energy Commission approved three major alternative fuel infrastructure agenda items totaling more than $6 million. An additional $5 million was approved to help fund environmental research to improve natural gas efficiency and $4 million to fund energy efficiency projects in schools.

The first vehicle now serves routes in Fresno with the balance of the vehicles to be deployed in Fresno and Stockton as part of a year-long program. The cap-and-trade program also creates a financial incentive for industries to invest in clean technologies and develop innovative ways to reduce pollution.

Proterra will manufacture the buses and charging infrastructure at its newest facility in Southern California, which was partially funded by the California Energy Commission. In the last 22 years, we have implemented voluntary incentive programs that have resulted in more than 134,000 tons of emission reductions.
