An organization named Downtown Area Shared Hubs (DASH) just launched a new low-cost ride service in downtown Tampa, Florida, using 6 electric Tesla Model Y SUVs. Riders can use an app on iPhones or Android phones to schedule short zero-emissions trips in seven downtown Tampa neighborhoods in the bright yellow Teslas.

California, the original home of Tesla—and many of the start-ups like Lucid and Rivian that are beginning to contribute to the growth of EVs—leads the way in plug-in car registrations. It has eight times the number of EVs of the next state, Florida. The number of EVs in my neighborhood seems to be growing weekly.

The Torrance Hillside Overlay district , covers most of the historic Hollywood Riviera neighborhood where the Creative Greenius lives and I can tell you that it’s a zoning law that is pure politics. If we followed Gainsville Florida’s lead and voted in feed-in tariffs people would be renting roof space to put up more solar.
