It’s been said that the United States is the Saudi Arabia of coal—and that’s because, as I said, it’s one of our most abundant energy resources. We’re also going to be talking about some developments we’re making on biofuels, so that more folks can start filling up their cars and trucks with cleaner, American-grown fuels.

The largest increase in oil production comes from Iraq, followed by Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Kazakhstan and Canada. The number of people without access to electricity remained unacceptably high at 1.3 World Energy Outlook.
