Air Products has been awarded a contract with India’s University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) to build the country’s first solar-powered renewable hydrogen fueling station. Once complete, the UPES project will mark the third Air Products hydrogen fueling station operating in India.

India’s first solar-powered hydrogen fueling station, supplied by Air Products was inaugurated recently at an event with chief guest Shri Piyush Goyal, Union Minister for Power, Coal, and New and Renewable Energy, in conjunction with Shri Upendra Tripathy, Secretary, Minister of New and Renewable Energy.

Air Products will supply hydrogen fueling equipment for a hydrogen transportation demonstration project in New Delhi, India. The hydrogen-powered fleet will transport visitors at the Pragati Maidan, where many large public exhibitions are held in New Delhi, in partnership with the India Trade Promotion Organization.
