California Energy Commission awards nearly $5M to encourage natural gas-powered buses and trucks

The awards, funded from the Commission’s Alternative and Renewable Fuel and Vehicle Technology Program, help to pay the difference between a conventional gasoline- or diesel-powered vehicle and one powered by a cleaner alternative fuel. The natural gas-powered vans will be in the 14,001 to 26,000 pounds gross vehicle weight range.
