California ARB approves ACC II rule; 100% of LDVs to be PHEVS, ZEV by 2035; LEV IV emissions requirements

The rule establishes a year-by-year roadmap so that by 2035 100% of new cars and light trucks sold in California will be zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). The regulation applies to automakers (not dealers) and covers only new vehicle sales.

Kia unveiling new cee’d GT line with new 1.0L T-GDi and 7-speed DCT at Geneva

Kia’s new turbocharged engine, developed in-house at the company’s Namyang R&D center in Korea, features a high-pressure direct injection system, advanced engine cooling and an integrated exhaust manifold for cleaner emissions and efficient packaging. The Kia cee’d GT Line will be available from Kia dealers across Europe in Q4 2015.
