Alpine, the exclusive sports car brand of the Renault Group, has unveiled the Alpenglow concept as a showcase for a clean emissions future that is within reach for tomorrow’s racing cars and future Alpine vehicle generations. The car is equipped with a hydrogen-fueled internal-combustion engine.

ITM Power has signed a fuel contract with Honda (UK), which will purchase hydrogen at £10/kg (US$12.91/kg). The contract covers fuel dispensed across ITM Power’s hydrogen refueling network. The Honda Fuel Cell Clarity has a hydrogen tank capacity of 5.46

UK-based ITM Power signed an agreement with The Centre for Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence (CEME) to deploy a Hydrogen Refueling Station (HRS) at the CEME site in Rainham, UK. ITM Power also just opened the first public access hydrogen refueling station, funded by InnovateUK, at the Advanced Manufacturing Park in South Yorkshire.

The vehicle is said to produce hydrogen in real time. It consumes the excess carbon in the cylinder during the burn to gain a 15-30 per cent improvement in fuel mileage, while producing near zero carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. So, in effect, this is a supercar capable of around 200mph and yet it has very clean emissions.
