Chinese automaker BYD plans to debut its new energy pickup truck, Shark, in Mexico this month. The Chinese automaker was initially rumored to unveil it at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2024. The BYD Shark was pitted against electric vehicles like the Tesla Cybertruck and the Ford F-150 Lightning.

BYD is launching its first electric pickup soon after confirming it will go by the name “Shark” in its latest teaser, revealing a Ford F-150 Lightning look up front. It also showed the pickup’s Ford F-150 Lightning -like full-length light bar and stacked headlights. A new electric pickup is coming to global markets.

Ford Motor Company officially launched the new Ford Fiesta into the China market on the southern resort island of Hainan. The sedan and the five-door Fiesta hatchback are both built at the Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Company manufacturing facility in Nanjing.
