Chinese company Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Company Ltd has emerged as the leading contender to take over Ford’s iconic Swedish brand, Volvo. The objective of the discussions, according to Ford’s executive vice president and chief financial officer Lewis Booth, is to secure an agreement in the best interests of all parties.

Were told that the agreement includes nods of acceptance from the likes of Volkswagen, BMW, Ford, General Motors, Fiat, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Eon, Vattenfall, EDF, Npower, Endesa and Enel, and while theres no time frame for when itll be introduced, were pretty stoked to hear that at least something has been decided upon.
