I knew I wanted something for her that was cheap to maintain, had a reliable automatic transmission, came with cruise control, AC. The cost of that usually starting just below $1,000 or changing the faulty modules (28 modules in a pack) individually that is much cheaper. It is something very cheap to fix and to inspect.

KAIST/Korea Polytechnic University The paper doesn't directly address the cost of the MHD, and with three motors and some other electronics in it, it's not likely to be super cheap. I'd expect it to cost at least USD $100, although perhaps it could get somewhat cheaper in volume.
