The local importer has confirmed the BYD ute will be tested in Australia in late 2023 and 2024 ahead of an on-sale later in 2024. Toyota showed off a concept car called the EPU (or electric pick-up) alongside an electric version of the LandCruiser. It has now re-established it as an electrified sub-brand of GMC.

New buildings will be required to include EV charging stations, as will renovated structures that have 10 or more parking spaces.
