California’s plug-in vehicle sales tally is impressive: 663,014 battery electrics (62.9%). 11,956 fuel cell electrics (1.1%). If you’re adding up the numbers that 1,054,095 electric vehicles since the state began counting in 2011. It has eight times the number of EVs of the next state, Florida.

Anyone who would deploy any kind of large-scale EV charging project needs to work closely (and early) with their local electrical utility. Since 2010, OUC, a municipally-owned public utility, has installed hundreds of public charging stations, some powered by solar arrays.

The project will include 27 alternative fuel stations (16 CNG, 7 B20/E85, one B20, three Electric Charging) and deploy 373 alternative fuel and advance technology vehicles (235 CNG, 58 HEV, two LPG, two EV). The initiative also includes garbage trucks, also known as refuse collection vehicles.

The Torrance Hillside Overlay district , covers most of the historic Hollywood Riviera neighborhood where the Creative Greenius lives and I can tell you that it’s a zoning law that is pure politics. If we followed Gainsville Florida’s lead and voted in feed-in tariffs people would be renting roof space to put up more solar.
