There are also, incidentally, income tax credits at the federal and state levels for installation of EV charging equipment. It doesn't cover the whole thing, but you do get a chunk of it back as a tax credit. Is it worth the extra almost 50 percent added to the cost of the car? So that's what it takes. Fourteen seems very low.
