ERMA supporting Mkango in development of rare earth separation plant in Poland

This plant will be supplied with rare earth carbonate originating from Mkango’s Songwe Hill primary deposit of rare earth elements in Malawi, Africa. It is also expected to produce lanthanum cerium carbonate. A first action plan entitled “ Rare Earth Magnets and Motors: A European Call for Action ” was issued in September 2021.

Roskill: graphite prices could push higher on tightening markets for batteries & electrodes

Both synthetic and natural graphite compete for use in lithium-ion battery anodes, along with an increasing amount of needle coke and other existing carbon materials. Roskill forecasts that global sales of EVs and hybrid vehicles will increase rapidly in the coming years and could account for 69% of all motor vehicle sales by 2027.
