This is the moment that the concept of electronic paper, or e-paper, went mainstream. One of our first commercially launched color products, in 2010, used a color filter—an array of squares printed onto a layer of glass placed on top of the standard black-and-white ink layer. That approach can’t accommodate full-color digital paper.
