While demand growth for EVs outstrips traditional petrol and diesel vehicles, buyers still have the upper hand in an Australian used electric vehicle market dominated by Tesla. That’s the findings from the Automotive Insights Report analysing March 2024 used car sales compiled by AutoGrab and the Australian Automotive Dealer Association.

Local conversion to right-hand drive could be the way the Ford F-150 Lightning electric pick-up truck makes it on-sale in Australia. The E-Transit electric van is already on-sale, the Mustang Mach-E electric crossover is soon to launch, the E-Transit Custom and the Puma EV will arrive in 2024.

The Chevy EV – for now – is the dominant sales force on the Korean small EV market. We had a quick drive of a Casper equipped with a 76kW three-cylinder petrol, and it proved a fun urban partner.

GM has announced plans for public sales in 2010, and almost every carmaker now says it will sell PHEVs or highway-speed battery electric vehicles (BEVs) sometime after 2010. BYD , for examples, says their 60 mile range-extended vehicle can add 30 miles of range in ten minutes. No single vehicle does it all even in todays petrol world. They have several stations already built and plan on thousands more. One of the main drawbacks to charge stations is speed. that my day to day car cant solve.
