The VIPER project will build on CPT’s involvement in the Ricardo-led HyBoost program ( earlier post ), which is similarly part funded by the UK Technology Strategy Board (TSB). can be achieved over a broad range of vehicles in part by optimizing the control of heat energy from conventional gasoline and diesel engines.

The Ingenium engine family’s advanced modular design will provide gasoline and diesel derivatives and was started from a clean-sheet to deliver performance, efficiency and refinement without compromise. This advanced in-house powertrain will be manufactured at the new JLR Engine Manufacturing Center near Wolverhampton in the UK.

The introduction of affordable noise management systems offers multiple benefits to manufacturers and consumers alike, achieving eco-friendly optimization of vehicle weight reductions and improved CO2 emissions. While I dont know how they would go about doing the testing (scientifically speaking), it should be quite feasible.
