The new Macan matches the petrol-powered model’s 2000kg tow capacity. Porsche Australia has stepped up the standard equipment for the Macan 4.

A survey commissioned by the electric vehicle maker Polestar has found 34 per cent of Australian drivers support a ban on petrol and diesel cars by 2030. South Korea led the way with 48 per cent ahead of the UK (44) and Singapore (42). Among those recently quoted warning caution are BMW and tier one auto supplier Bosch.

The reveals of the Canoo pickup and Kia EV6 have heads turning and yet another automaker, BMW-owned Mini this time announced plans that it would only produce battery-electric vehicles from 2030. BMW CEO Officer Oliver Zipse is set to announce the plan alongside its annual report on March 17, the person said.
