BMW and Nissan are partnering to offer public DC Fast charging at 120 locations across 19 states in an effort to support Nissan LEAF and BMW i3 customers and to promote increased adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) nationwide. Additionally, these chargers are compatible with the Nissan EZ-Charge cards.

The combination permits the Lightning to travel 230 miles (370 km) without recharging and go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 says the Lightning’s software will identify nearby public charging stations and tell drivers when to recharge. Like the larger XC40 Recharge, it’s relatively slab-sided and upright, and its 7.0-inch Audi, BMW, Genesis, Lexus and Mercedes-Benz only offer electric SUVs in larger and much pricier segments.
