The current product line of GM includes the Hummer EV, which is now being delivered, and the Cadillac Lyriq, which will be arriving in the coming years. GM believes it can help speed up charging and acceleration and extend range. It is available on all models of the BMW i3 EV, as well as the Jaguar I-Pace and Audi E-Tron.

Competition is going to force them to produce a comfortable, usable, extended range EV for that price, and I will just have to wait. The head of Chryslers ENVI division, Lou Rhodes, told AutoblogGreen this morning that Chrysler is marketing this battery-only version of the van to commercial fleet customers who typically have shorter range requirements. The extended-range version will be focused on retail customers.
