Sales of Volvo Cars´ Recharge models of fully electric and plug-in hybrid cars increased by 31% in January year-on-year, accounting for 40.7% The share of fully electric cars stood at 16.2%. The increase was led by markets such as the UK, Italy and Belgium. The share of Recharge cars reached 10.7%.

The propulsion system consists of twin electric motors, one on the front and one on the rear axle, powered by a 78 kWh battery that can be fast-charged to 80% in about 40 minutes.
