But Frank’s worried about how much the batteries cost and how much they weigh, and how much room they take up in the trunk. Maybe Frank’s just not that into batteries. The four-door sedan will deliver 40 miles on a charge; a small gasoline engine will recharge the battery as it approaches depletion, extending its range by as much as 200 miles. Its been improving over time, but the power density and cost issues are still steep for what exists thus far. Forget the black helicopter conspiracies.
