Frost & Sullivan, a global consultancy and market analysis firm, believes that there will three phases for the development of green cars in China: LPG/CNG and hybrids in the short term; electric vehicles in the middle stage; and fuel cell vehicles in the long run. The first hybrid in China, the Toyota Prius, was introduced in 2006.
