Rivian to build new $5 billion electric vehicle factory in Georgia. Rivian an Amazon-backed electric vehicle maker has announced a new $5 billion electric vehicle factory in Atlanta, Georgia. It will be the second factory in Georgia. The electric automaker will start its production at the new plant in 2024. launch in late 2020.

4 compact SUV in Chattanooga, Tenn., The start of production is the result of Volkswagen’s $800-million investment into the electrification of its Chattanooga factory, including dedicated facilities for vehicle and battery pack assembly. Now we’ve driven both.

Honda of America plans to sell 2 fully electric SUVs in 2024, Based on GM’s Ultium Platform – Honda confirmed plans to sell two all-electric SUVs in the US for the 2024 model year, and it soon will offer hybrid gas-electric versions of its top-selling models. Honda will offer more details later this year, he said.
