Electricity is a commodity that is bought and sold, and yet unlike most other commodities, it cannot easily be stored. If too much or too little electricity is present in the power grid, the network can suddenly become unbalanced. In such an emergency, a bidirectional EV with charge to spare could come to the rescue.

Drivers will need to select the "stealth" mode to rely exclusively on electricity stored in the battery.

The four-door sedan will deliver 40 miles on a charge; a small gasoline engine will recharge the battery as it approaches depletion, extending its range by as much as 200 miles.
