The materials are generally nice and price-point-appropriate. Speaking of price points, this is not a cheap car. A 20-inch-wheel kit replaced the 19s and cost $3,200. All that plus destination ballooned the car’s $54,100 base price to $63,585. Sometimes it’s nice and peaceful. The cabin helps. Oh, and comfort.

Three years on, this is the longest I’ve ever kept a single automobile. Fortunately, timing with Covid price gouging after I bought the Golf meant I happily sold it back to the dealer (July 2021) to end the headache and didn’t lose money. But that was a full five years ago now, prior to pandemic times!
