As per official industry data for passenger vehicles and two-wheelers published by apex industry body Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), in CY2023, a total of 284,906 vehicles were recalled by their manufacturers. Maruti Suzuki effected three separate recalls covering 35,752 units.
