If you build a car as a "kit car" with no real factory, then yes, it will never be an economic success. Toyota Prius modders have already been adding larger batteries so the vehicle can run on battery power. I like the idea that I can take to the Hwy I can do better than 330 miles on a 10 gallon tank.
