The Obama Administration doesnt understand that. It isa fundamental change in direction for GM. The four-door sedan will deliver 40 miles on a charge; a small gasoline engine will recharge the battery as it approaches depletion, extending its range by as much as 200 miles. Former vice chairman Bob Lutz said as much a year ago.
