Nissan introduced the 2014 Pathfinder Hybrid at the New York International Auto Show. Fuel economy is estimated at 26 mpg (9.0 Fuel economy is estimated at 26 mpg (9.0 Estimated city fuel economy is 25 mpg (9.4 liter gasoline engine and an electric motor paired with a compact Li-ion battery.

In the prototype of a BMW 2 Series Active Tourer with plug-in hybrid system, the front wheels are driven by a three-cylinder gasoline engine and the rear wheels by an electric motor. There is a choice of three settings: Auto eDrive: this hybrid mode is activated as the default setting in Comfort mode every time the vehicle is started.
