Electricity is a commodity that is bought and sold, and yet unlike most other commodities, it cannot easily be stored. General Motors’ Impact debuted at the 1990 Los Angeles Auto Show. And the auto industry had just canceled the battery EV. At the moment, the auto industry does not have a clear interest in V2G.

Several early models of passenger vehicles have enough energy stored in advanced batteries to power several homes for hours. Recent announcements demonstrate that electric utilities and some auto makers want to make V2G a reality. Hybrid electric buses and heavy trucks could power many homes or a school or a hospital in an emergency.

" President Obamas auto task force doesnt see it that way. Then consider that in order to actually go any farther than the neighbood store, one still had to have ANOTHER car. A simple, clean, efficient EV that wont run out of juice because of its on-board gas generator. run the hardware store and buy a new one.
