American Honda Motor Co. Begins Use and Testing of Class 8 Hybrid Truck

American Honda Motor has introduced a Class 8 hybrid diesel electric truck into its truck fleet at its parts center in Alpharetta, Ga—the first such in the auto industry. The hybrid truck uses a parallel diesel-electric hybrid system developed by Eaton Corporation. Testing and evaluation will take place over the next year.
