Tesla says Model S comes out on top in US-NCAP crash testing with lowest Vehicle Safety Score

While the Model S is a sedan, it also exceeded the safety score of all SUVs and minivans, according to Tesla. Since NHTSA selects vehicles for testing on the criteria noted above, there are, however, some competitive gaps in the data: no testing for Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Audi A8 or BMW 7-Series, for example.
