Add a solar PV system big enough to offset the building’s energy needs and charge the trucks, too, and you’ve just eliminated a whole lot of pollution, kept a lot of money from going out of the country and to the oil companies, and added value to your building. And then, each carmaker has a different portfolio, so Ford, which still has tons of room on its EV tax credits, is in a different position than GM, which is why GM did not sign on to [the 2019 California deal] but then later did. The Biden administration has announced three major pro-EV initiatives in recent months—a revamping of the federal tax credits , an infrastructure funding package , and new EPA emissions standards. I think it’s one thing to have a commitment for 2030 and 2035, and it’s another thing to have to meet legal requirements and standards.
