UT Arlington project for Navy investigating how batteries age when run at high rates

A University of Texas at Arlington engineering researcher is working to determine how oversized a battery has to be while operating safely and efficiently during its lifetime of use by the US Navy. 200,000 in ONR grants over a three-year period to simulate, design and evaluate a high power Hybrid Energy Storage Module.
