Anyone who makes an argument otherwise because BEVs don’t emit tailpipe emissions is simply wrong. Since a fuel tax is pre-paid, if we go to a mileage tax, there will be a major shortfall of funds in all jurisdictions. Because a mileage tax would be post-paid. Source: AFDC Database.
