announced the successful installation of its XL3 Hybrid Electric Drive System ( earlier post ) in four city-owned vans for The City of Boston. The newly converted vans support the Greenovate Boston goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2020 and 80% by 2050. There were no driver training or maintenance requirements.

The International Council on Clean Transportation predicts that in order to support the upcoming 26 million EVs on US roads in 2030, 1.3 EV drivers can save thousands of dollars on fuel and maintenance costs and now qualify for a $4000 used EV tax credit or a $7500 new EV tax credit.
