UPS plans to build an additional 12 compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations and add 380 new CNG tractors to its growing alternative fuel and advanced technology fleet. At UPS, we own our fleet and our infrastructure. CNG is part of a broad investment in a variety of alternative fuel vehicles.

UPS plans to invest approximately $50 million to build an additional nine liquefied natural gas (LNG) fueling stations, bringing the total number of stations to 13. Four were announced in April, and all should be operational by the end of 2014. Phoenix, Ariz., UPS began using LNG tractors in its delivery fleet in 2002.
