Afghanistan is still contaminated with many of these mines, left behind more than 40 years ago after the Soviet-Afghan War. Our resulting model correctly detected 92 percent of PFM-1s in these environments, on average. In light of those conversations, we developed a user-friendly Web application called SpotlightAI.
