They leased a few (at a loss) to those that could afford it. takes time to build this new market and re-coup their investment. Hybrids are a proven winner, but a series-hybrid (range extended EV), such as the Volt takes things to a much higher level with existing and "mostly" affordable tech. Will GM lose money on the Volt ?
