Commercial electric vehicle company Arrival is partnering with Uber to develop an affordable, purpose-built electric vehicle (EV) for ride-hailing drivers. The Arrival Car is expected to enter production in Q3 2023. Uber’s focus is now to encourage drivers to apply for EV Assistance under the Clean Air Plan.

EERC envisions that such a process would eliminate the prohibitive infrastructure costs of nationwide hydrogen transportation and storage so that hydrogen refueling could be accessible and affordable. The EERC technology reforms alcohols or liquid fuels to high-pressure hydrogen on-site and on-demand at the pump at the time of fueling.
