We were surprised to cross the 30 mpg mark for this 3,915-pound, five-passenger midsize SUV.

In 240 miles driving around Southern California we averaged 23 mpg, but in a 100-mile run with the adaptive cruise control set at 65 mph, we averaged 31.2 mpg, exceeding the EPA figure. And yes, you can spin the tires! The EPA has rated the EcoBoost 2.3L

Running on unleaded premium, the EPA has rated the fuel economy at 19 mpg city/25 highway/21 combined. We are familiar with this engine as it was in the 2021 Genesis GV80 we reviewed earlier.
