Honda built its original reputation around affordable small cars like its Civic. As Honda’s global CEO alluded this past week in a Q&A with Green Car Reports and various automotive and tech media at CES, it doesn’t see how the parallel pencils out quite yet. Aoyama underscored that Acura is being handled differently, though.

Sadly, there seems little chance of Prologue coming to Australia in the foreseeable future, with Honda’s local arm focussed on hybrids. Honda has committed to a global carbon neutrality goal by 2050 and is planning the introduction of 30 new EVs by 2030. 2024 Honda Prologue has a long wheelbase.

Last week at CES in Las Vegas, Honda provided a first look at future EV models planned for 2026 with the Saloon and Space-Hub concepts. Honda Saloon Concept – 2024 CES Sized in the middle of Honda’s EV future. Also don’t expect an affordable small EV much before 2030. Acura is being handled differently.
