Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) has delivered the first vehicle in its Freightliner Electric Innovation Fleet—a Freightliner eM2 ( earlier post )—to Penske Truck Leasing, fulfilling its promise to put an electric commercial truck in customer hands in 2018. The range of the eM2 is around 370 km (230 miles).

A zero-emission Kenworth Class 8 T680 day cab tractor equipped with a Ballard hydrogen fuel cell ( earlier post ) is on display at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). TTSI) at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach in Southern California. The T680 has been running trials in the Seattle area and performing very well.
