Three of Hyundai Motor Company’s next-generation NEXO fuel-cell-electric vehicles ( earlier post ) have completed a self-driven 118-mile (190 km) journey from Seoul to Pyeongchang. NEXO has a target range of 500 miles (NEDC) on a single charge of hydrogen and takes only five minutes to refuel.

Equipped with a high-capacity 64 kWh lithium-polymer battery pack, the Niro EV will be able to drive more than 380 km (236 miles) on a single charge with zero emissions, or up to 240 km (149 miles) on an optional 39.2 The Niro EV will go on sale in Korea during the second half of 2018 and be introduced to other markets later.

The new Kia Niro battery-electric CUV (crossover utility vehicle) has gone on sale in Korea, featuring an expected driving range of up to 385 kilometers (239 miles), as calculated by SAE J1364 in the United States. European sales of Niro EV will follow at end of 2018 and North America in Q1 2019.
