Around 160,000 units of Audi’s first electric model have been delivered since 2018. Audi is focusing on transforming production from the inside out with the aim of heralding the future of production at Audi, the 360factory. The electric traction motors for production are transported from Hungary to Brussels by green freight.

While development of the principle is ongoing, Audi has begun to use modular assembly in developing the production process for the electric motor for the 2018 e-tron SUV (C-BEV) ( earlier post ). And it's already clear that the COVID-19 pandemic has sped up the arrival of the future along several dimensions. In our case, thanks to Transport for London, we managed to get it anonymized and released for analysis. Examples include public transport infrastructure—say, the subways of New York City—and retail and office space.
