Lightning was one of the first to test under the newly released 2018 CARB efficiency and range validation test procedures for medium-duty vehicles, performed at the SGS Environmental Testing Center. The fuel cell uses hydrogen to charge the electric batteries for a longer-range zero-emissions fleet solution.

California ARB to hold community meetings on coming LEV III combined tailpipe and GHG regulations

The proposed amendments, known as LEV III, ask for more stringent tailpipe and greenhouse gas emission standards for new passenger vehicles sold between 2018 and 2025. The community meetings are currently scheduled for Fresno (12 July); Pacoima (19 July); and Oakland (26 July). Earlier post.) These are: 2 March 2010.
