Audi developing modular assembly principle as successor to production line; Gy?r testing for 2018 e-tron electric motor production

In the latest issue of Audi Encounter , Fabian Rusitschka, managing partner of Ingolstadt-based startup arculus GmbH , Audi’s partner in developing this concept, noted that while the current A3/Q2 production line has around 160 process steps, modular assembly turns that into roughly 200 spatially distinct stations manned by one or two people.

Brussels plant kicks off production for the new Audi Q8 e-tron

Around 160,000 units of Audi’s first electric model have been delivered since 2018. Brussels is a model for some areas of this plant concept. Named “Factory of the Future” in 2020 by the employers’ association Agoria, Brussels achieved this distinction as early as 2018. 2018 saw the birth of the Audi e-tron.

Audi Brussels to produce exclusively e-tron quattro SUV, battery packs; A1 production moving to Spain

As of 2018, Audi Brussels will produce exclusively the commercial version of Audi’s e-tron quattro battery-electric SUV ( earlier post ). The Audi Q3, currently produced in Spain, will be built in Győr (Hungary) in the future. The plant will also produce its own battery packs. Rupert Stadler.
